The first online chess tournament for players of the Neretva League was held

There is no rest for the young chess hope, so last night the first online chess tournament was held for the participants of the Neretva League. It was played on Chess.com under the Swiss system for 5 rounds with time control of 10 minutes per player.

The Neretva League is a competition that was created in collaboration with 5 clubs and two elementary schools and was designed as a club competition for cadets.

Players from the following teams from the Neretva League participated in the tournament: Capljina, Brotnjo Citluk 1, Brotnjo Citluk 2, Mostar, Siroki Brijeg, Zrinjski and teams from Ploce and Metkovic.

After an exciting and end-to-end battle, Borna Pehar from the ŠK Brotnjo with 4 points, Ajdin Stranjak (ŠK Mostar) with 3.5 and Tomislav Ivanković (ŠK Široki Brijeg) with 3.5 points were the most successful. Philip Pehar (ŠKBrotnjo), Ana Ostojic (ŠK Brotnjo), Luka Dzalto (ŠK Capljina), Mihaela Buntic (ŠK Brotnjo) followed.

All the chess players showed fair and correct behavior and had a good time. This is only the first tournament, and we hope there will be many more in the future.
