Ismet Mešić winner of the "Future of Chess of Bosnia and Herzegovina" tournament

On May 16, 2020, a chess tournament "Future of Chess of Bosnia and Herzegovina" was held in the organization of Stojanović Vlade, Čunjalo Farisa and Marković Dina.

42 players from Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the tournament. Players from Bosnia and Herzegovina up to the age of 16 (2004 and younger) had the right to participate in the tournament.

The tempo of the game was 5 minutes plus a bonus of 5 seconds for each move played starting from the first. A 10-round Swiss system was played.

After great fights and uncertain changes in the table, the first place was won by Mešić Ismet (Lichess nick - Dr-Mavix). with 7.5 points from 10 games. Second place was won by Lipovčić Marko (Lichess nick - MarkoLipovcic) with 7.5 points, but slightly worse additional criteria, third place went to Babić Davor (Lichess nick - Metall34555355) with 7 points, and the last player to join the list of winners was Pištalović Slobodan (Lichess nick - alwayslost) with 6.5 points from 10 games.

It should be noted that the big outcome of the tournament, looking at the table, changed a lot because 2 players were more than suspicious for using chess programs for analysis. These are tabular looking winners - Ivanović Marko (Lichess nick - Markoivanocic) and Haznadar Nermina (Lichess nick - NF17). Great criticism for those 2 players who allowed themselves to be criticized by their peers for using chess programs. As they made wins and many holders won, they automatically changed pairs in the tournament. As a result, they were disqualified from the team and banned from participating in our tournaments. The winners of the awards gained the right to play the next type of tournament, which is that they will fight on the berger system of the tournament: Ismet Mešić (Lichess nick - Dr-Mavix), Marko Lipovčić (Lichess nick - MarkoLipovcic), Davor Babić (Lichess nick - Metall34555355) , Slobodan Pištalović (Lichess nick - alwayslost), and players who were badly damaged in the tournament due to defeat by players who had contact with chess programs during the tournament: Muhamed Šišić (Lichess nick - muhamed07), Sanjin Ćulum (Lichess nick - Culum2007) and Mirko Šajin (Lichess nick - Mirkos) against even older BiH players. The current invitation for the tournament has: FM Rijad Burović, FM Bojan Maksimović, Leon Bojo, Evel Karalić and Dragan Stanković. The tempo of the game and in their final tournament is planned to be 5 minutes + 5 seconds for each move played starting from the first.
