Ante Šarić winner of the Croatian online championship

The Croatian Chess Federation supported the initiative launched from Slovenia to 09.05. In 2020, on Europe Day, national fast-paced championships are played at the same time in all countries.

The Swiss system of 18 rounds was played with a tempo of 3 minutes and an addition of 2 seconds for each move played. The pairing was done automatically via chess.com, through which all parities were played.

In the end, GM Ante Šarić won first place with an impressive 16.5 points. Second place went to FM Blažek Matej with 13.5 points, while third was FM Mario Zovko also with 13.5 points, but with a slightly worse additional criterion than the second-placed player.
